Boy's Golf at O'Neill

The Plainview golf team, unable to find a date with O’Neill for their postponed dual, instead competed in the O’Neill Invite on Thursday, April 17th. The Pirates played well finishing 4th out of the 15 teams. Ewing won the tournament with a score of 318. Hartington CC finished second with 324. Plainview had a team score of 345.
Nate Wragge led the team tying for third place with a 79. Wragge lost a scorecard play-off to finish 5th. Just missing a medal was Josh Kounovsky who shot 86. A score of 85 garnered the 15th place medal. Josh Scranton encountered some putting problems on the back nine but still managed to shoot an 89. Brett Korth ended the team scoring with his 91 as he continues to improve. Nic Miller playing in his first varsity invite initially struggled on the front nine but shot a back nine 47 to recover for a 102.
