Because of the weather this spring, the Plainview golf team played in their fourth meet in six days. Although they played better on the back nine, too big a lead was gained by Crofton and West Holt. Creighton won conference with 321 while Crofton won in a team play-off for second when both shot 328. Plainview finished fourth with 339.
Josh Kounovsky and Brett Korth led the team as they tied for 7th place. Kounovsky overcame a quad on the front to shoot 42 and then had 39 on the back. Korth played a consistent nine with 40-41. Nate Wragge played well on the back nine with a 39 but a front nine of 47 did him in. Josh Scranton had several bad breaks, ball out-of-bounds by 2 inches, ball stuck in a tree, etc., to shoot 45-46. Nic Miller was the 5th man and shot his lowest 18 holes of the year with 49-44. His score was not used in the team standing so it was moved to the reserve portion of the tournament.
The reserves finished second behind Creighton 354-367. This is the lowest team score by far this year for the reserves. Zac Masat led the team when he shot 42 on the back to finish at 89. Adam Krueger was not far behind with 91. Jacob Proskovec finished with 94 as a score was recorded incorrectly on one hole.
